Tincture vs Vaping

IS CBD VAPING RIGHT FOR ME?

Is there a rhyme to the reasoning behind the new CBD vaping trend? Vaping has increased in popularity over the last decade, despite campaigns discouraging youth from buying these products. But how does CBD vaping compare?

IS IT EFFECTIVE?

One of the benefits of the inhalation method (vaping) is that this allows the active ingredient to enter the bloodstream directly. For example, the FDA recently approved Trudhesa, an inhaled medication used to treat migraine headaches. This approval could also be an effective way to receive pain treatment for chronically ill patients who cannot swallow, such as throat or thyroid cancers. This route also avoids the first-pass metabolism faced by edibles and tinctures. Those have a large amount removed from the bloodstream through the liver.

IS IT SAFE?

Another factor to consider is safety, as the research behind the side effects of vaping is still emerging. Many campaigns mention the uncertainty you can face in the added ingredients in vaping “juice” and unknown long-term effects on lung, throat, and mouth health, such as those speculated years later in nicotine vaping.

Lastly, some studies have shown that CBD can carboxylate into other cannabinoids such as THC or CBN at high temperatures. You can benefit from this if you enjoy full-spectrum CBD, but this may not be for you if you use THC-free CBD isolates.

HOW ELSE CAN I GET MY CBD?

More traditional routes of administration include tinctures, which you can take sublingually (under the tongue). Our in-house-made tinctures are formulated with all-natural ingredients and utilize a combination of cannabinoids and essential oils to provide effective results.

When used together, cannabinoids elicit the entourage effect, which causes them to act more efficiently on the body by reducing the activity of the FAAH enzyme. This effect prevents your body’s natural endocannabinoids from being degraded and allows them to exhibit their anti-inflammatory and calming effects. Here at Hempeutics, we also offer suppositories for effective and fast-acting CBD.
